Um, Michelle Yeoh actually had two films at the festival.

I wasn't able to see her other film, uh, "It's My Time." It looked interesting and, and hopefully I can get around to it at some point.

But, um, but you know, I'm, I'm a fan of Michelle Yeoh, uh, and her in a, in an action thriller sounded really interesting.

Of course, we all love what she did, or at least we all better had loved what she did in "Everything Everywhere," every-- "Everything Everywhere All at Once." Um, and so, uh, yeah, I mean, I'm not comparing "The Surgeon" and that one, but like it's fun to see her in like these action spaces.

There are two Michelle Yeoh films at TIFF, one called The Surgeon, which I think explains itself.

And then there's another one that she's in, and it's a Chinese film called It's My Time.

And it's based off a true story of an elderly competitive Rubik's Cube player.

Thankfully, everything turned around yesterday because we got to end our night on a high note with a little film called It's My Time, which is, in theory, a by-the-numbers sports movie, except for this by-the-numbers sports movie stars Michelle Yeoh and is about the Magic Cube, or as we know it, a Rubik's Cube.

So this is basically the story of a woman who, you know, one day she is, somebody comes, somebody gets hired, an ex-like Magic Cube competition guy gets hired to help a bunch of older folks learn how to do the Magic Cube because it's supposed to help people with dementia or whatever the guise of his being hired for.

And Michelle Yeoh is one of the people who takes this class and she takes the cube and and finds a lot of excitement in it and he finds a lot of excitement in her progression um in being able to solve this cube following his steps and uh she decides that this is the thing that she wants to do and begins progressing towards uh potentially starting to compete in uh different things and uh yeah it's really a story about her just getting excitement over the magic cube and beginning to compete and it's just a story of somebody's rise into the world of competitive magic cubing and Michelle Yeoh's awesome in it and it's just a really fun exciting energetic film about twisting little cubes and yeah this is like a freaking crowd pleasing awesome really fun good time and this is like the kind of thing that you want as you're like 30th film of the festival
