ISTJ

What the Myers-Briggs has taught me is that we are all wired in specific ways.

And so as an ENFP, the things that I value are are very different than what a lot of my friends that are ISTJs or INTJs, we value different things.

And I started looking at the patterns of my friends that share the same personality types, and I started seeing things that they had in common in terms of their values.

So a lot of them that were like ISTJs types or INTJ types are very like rule-oriented and like tradition-oriented people.

and that's not me at all.

I don't like structure or rules.

Wait, wait, what's your MBTI?

Years ago, I think it was like ISTJ.

I feel like it's changed since then.

But the I, that stays there.

Hey, I am dialing in to ask as an ENFJ and entirely separate question that's been on my mind.

I am trying to understand my ISTJ husband as an ENFJ.

And everything that I read and understand is about how he is.

Immediately, you know what comes up for me when we hear when she says this, I think of Dr. Dari Nardi's EEG scans.

And so we know that an ISTJ would have the dominant, the most confident part of themselves would be a mental process called introverted sensing.

We've nicknamed it memory.

Again, it boils down to personality.

An ISTJ, I have a college roommate who was an ISTJ and she was a list maker and she loved a project and she could sit and organize for hours.

And I was always like, okay, bye.

But I would bring her out to fun things.

Yeah.

I was like, "Maybe this person's maybe, maybe she's, like, an ISTJ or something-

Mm-hmm

... or probably STJ preferences." Somewhere there's a lot of extroverted thinking and logistics, 'cause it's...

She said she loved doing it, but management was hard and she loves this more.

And I was like, man, it, it's really interesting 'cause you would...

This is breaking a lot of my stereotypes around what an ISTJ would want to do, especially an ISTJ that's wired for that kind of work.

Right.

I think it just further reinforces the contrast between the two.

Wick is an ISTJ.

The answer is in the past.

Tom is an ENTP.

So you need to find-

Or you're an ISTJ.

Recently, I retook this test and prep for this and I was an INFJ.

I know I took it a while back and I was an ISTJ.

Okay.

So my two middle labels flipped.
