It's zero MDR, merchant discount rate, all the way through an open data sharing network so building out sort of the digital public infrastructure has been a big deal the government launched a billion dollar fund of funds again also around 2016 2017 that led to the creation of over a hundred new domestic uh venture funds then the government's uh privatized several sectors so for instance in space, in space tech, the reason we have 400 startups today is because in 2020, space got deregulated.

Prior to that, space was the domain of ISRO, which is the National Space Organization.

Same things happened in defense.

Defense was not really open to private sector participation, certainly not open to participation from startups.

All the institutions, you like them, you hate them, you think that they are hard done by them.

You've got PRL, you've got ISRO, you've got IIT, you've got NID, you've got the Sahitya Academy.

In all the things that he took an interest in, science, heavy industry, culture, they are all built and they remain.

What we have been not able to do in the last 12 years is to build anything of relevance.

But surprisingly, great story.

Like, you don't even know about this senior scientist at ISRO called Nambi Narayan who, he made some really great discoveries, worked on liquid fuel propulsion.

Yeah, I don't know.

And the United States does not want to be left out of where people are going in the solar system.

B, I will never see it because ultimately if I do it in this budget and people know I've done it in this budget, I'll never be able to do a big budget this thing in my life.

Yeah, I guess the guys at ISRO are probably also... kind of fucked like that because they've proclaimed to the world that we do it in 1 by 100 to the cost yeah

which means that see it's okay for a first game and if I like reach even like 90% of the quality of 95% and I think we'll get to 100% but that's for a different time even if I get to 90-95% of the quality of games that have you know raised 100 million 200 million dollars for my next game I don't want to be stuck doing really really low cost games it's a pain dude like it's like People are working like two jobs at the same time in the game.

Like the 40 people we have are working like 80 people's jobs.

I think part of, Part of the issue is I think the Indian Ministry of Defense is still trying to figure out what the Defense Space Agency looks like and what its mission is.

And India has a phenomenal civilian space organization and capability with ISRO.

But, you know, sort of the grafting onto defense side of that, I think the Indian system is still trying to figure out.

And, you know, that's natural because, you know, for the US too, right? The idea that space would be sort of a place for military competition is something that I think a lot of US leaders, including President Biden, were very uncomfortable with.
