Isaiah 35

And then after you read the seventh verse, if you could drop down and read 10 through 13.

And then if the other scripture reader, if you don't mind, go ahead and pick up Isaiah 35.

And we're going to get the fifth and the sixth verse.

Because we know Yahshua said, you know, to the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to this word, it's because there's no light in them or Holy Spirit in them, as we've heard the founders say.

I don't know if you noticed, but all of today's readings are actually a beautiful commentary on the healing of the blind and the deaf man by Jesus that we heard in today's Gospels.

The prophet Isaiah in the first reading encourages fearful and timid hearts by saying this, Be strong, fear not, here is your God, he comes to save you.

Then he says, quote, then will the eyes of the blind be open and the ears of the deaf be cleaned, cleared.

Then will the lame leap like a stag and the tongue of the mute will sing.

Isaiah 35, verses five and six.

In this passage, Isaiah is not saying that a mere man sent by God will come and perform these things.

He opens the oracle by saying, here is your God, He comes to save you.

And the responsorial psalm taken from Psalm 146 repeats that same refrain.

And Jesus says he was Elijah.

Then they would have remembered that when the Messiah comes, Isaiah 35 says that he will give sight to the blind and he will unstop deaf ears and the lame will leap like a deer.

Oh yeah, he does that on a daily basis.

By the way, no one denied his miracles, no one.

And now that they're brought into the proper relationship with their Creator, God can now work in them to bring spiritual revitalization to humanity and physical revitalization to the earth.

Isaiah 3, I'm sorry, Isaiah 35, 3 and a 5, Isaiah 35. where we see one of the most beautiful expressions of revival in the entire scriptures.

This revival that God brings to a dying world.

We read about what becomes of the world at the end of the age.

Once they repent, once they turn to him, once they come to the presence of God.

Now God can heal it all.

Isaiah 35 verse 1.

The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose.

Happy Friday, everybody.

We are finishing the week in Isaiah 35.

Now, yesterday was a darker chapter because it was the punishment of the nations.

It was God giving the nations that had rejected him what they rightfully deserved.

Your best days are ahead.

So let that encourage you today and tomorrow and for the rest of your life.

And if you find yourself discouraged and down about the condition of the world, go to Isaiah 35, read it, and remember what is promised to those who put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

Thank you, Lord, for this chapter.

But I can even cheat the eye of a needle.

sending my guys ahead and I'll use this to transfer my wealth for them to hold it and I'll come so we will cheat on but the problem with this is that Jesus did not die like this okay somebody got it there Jesus didn't die like this Jesus died so by the death of jesus he opened a highway for whosoever so the road is narrowed to jesus but he said no no no no no you're not saying he's water Isaiah 35, 8 to 10.

Let's read Bible.

It's a highway.

Although Matthew's list doesn't exactly match Isaiah's catalog, it conveys the same idea.

Isaiah 35, 5, and 6 describes the signs of the coming age.

The eyes of those who are blind will be opened, then those who limp will leap like a deer.

For Matthew, these healings are more than acts of kindness.

The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind.

I'm going to look at Isaiah 35 and 5.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened.

I'm going to write down Matthew 9 and 27 where Jesus went out and healed those two blind men.
