Irwin

And that's a really, really beautiful drive.

And then on Route 30, the Lincoln Highway, that would be, I would say from Irwin, then Greensburg, Latrobe, Ligonier, Jennerstown, Stoystown.

So that would be my recommendation.

And that is also like jaw dropping beautiful.

Explosive events abound in the universe, and astrophysicists have paid attention to the lessons taught by G.I. Taylor, which is that you can learn a whole lot about what happened by looking closely at how the shockwave propagates.

My guest today is Dr. Chris Irwin, who is an expert on shockwaves and how they propagate in a variety of astrophysical contexts.

We'll talk with Chris about how we use the same kind of mathematics that Taylor employed to learn as much as we can about explosive events in astrophysics.

I'm Paul Duffell, and this is the Astrophysics Podcast.

All right.

Welcome to the Astrophysics Podcast.

I am Paul Duffell, and my guest today is Dr. Chris Irwin, who is a professor of astrophysics at To- oh, man, I already screwed it up.

He's a professor of astrophysics at Tohoku University.

Ah, there on eagle wings we soar, and sin and sense molest no more, and heaven comes down our souls to greet while glory crowns the mercy seat.

Now join with all the friends who attended our service at the Norwin Church of the Nazarene in Circleville, Irwin, Pennsylvania, and they sang this beautiful, beautiful hymn.

Having heard the words, you can follow the words as it is sung.

And I hope you know the hymn.

Johnny Rice of Chicago is back on the plate.

Joe Paparella of Iron and Pennsylvania is umpiring at first base.

Next pitch is swung on and popped high and fouled near the stands.

Howard is under it and has it.

Let everybody know first, Barb, where are you in this big world of ours?

In this big world of ours, I am in Irwin, Pennsylvania, which is about 30 minutes east of Pittsburgh.

I think that's a much more familiar city name.

And I've lived here since 1999.
