Ironhide

It's actually in the first issue, on page four, there's a drawing of Prime when he's talking to Ironhide.

And that is very much Dreamwave.

And it just looks beautiful.

fatal.

Yeah, little things like that.

Did you notice that you get stuff like at the very beginning when the Autobots go off with Ironhide and everything, that he's like shooting an asteroid field? And because this has always been a thing, because in the film, itself, there is kind of the indication there's like a little there's lingering elements of something there.

And indeed, in the script, there was a whole thing about them coming across an asteroid field and what have you.

three foot longer than it usually is.

That was a really janky transforming by Ironhide.

A red blob.

Well, and Optimus' trailer was, like, really flying, trying to keep up with him.

He always needs to be rescued.

Dude, Ironhide jumps down a hole.

They leave the hobos out there to die.

They kill Ratchet, Brawn,

Prowl, and Ironhide.

new toys coming into production.

No one ever cradles Ironhide's corpse

and is like, Ironhide, no! Ironhide is my son's favorite Transformer, and he gets a bad beat across.

Then in 1888, the USS Miskatonic, which sounds like Pentatonix, the really cool musical group, but not the same ones.

Miskatonic is beset by huge tentacles and Ironhide is ill-equipped to help.

He can do a little more than a watch.

A week later, our friend Tobias Muldoon, who has married his sweetheart Kitty, and they have a baby.

Like, a lot.

And a week later, Thomas Edison tells Molden that his request for a million watts is impossible.

But Molden is promised by one Nikola Tesla... that there is a way they just need to build the means as Ironhide spies on the growing numbers of fishy gods he is confronted by Bonecrusher who has been organically enhanced with you guessed it tentacles tentacles So, a couple days later, Muldoon and Tesla arrive to Ivoivik, Ontario, by Autobot train.

But Tesla is unaware of the nature of their conveyance until the several train cars transform right in front of him, after they've deboarded, of course, surrounded by the snowy forests.

Why? Well, because what the movie did do was scar the soul of a generation of 8-year-olds.

You murdered Optimus Prime, you bastards! The greedy geniuses at Hasbro, who wanted to flog their new line of Transformers, decided to take Prowl, Ironhide, Brawn, and yes, Optimus Prime, the Autobot heroes your boy had learned to love, and kill them.

Parents got word that their boy would spend the next three weeks in a psychotic fugue state and decided, rightly, to skip Transformers: The Movie.

To be fair, the entire toy movie bubble burst in 1986.
