But now because the local governments are running out of money, a lot of these places, they're shrinking the percentage of civil service staff.

And also imagine if you're unlucky and you get sent somewhere like in the Tibetan-Nepal border and then a landslide happened as it did recently.

and they might just start a whole mukbang on your freaking grave.

Like, that's the crazy part.

And according to this video, apparently the new iron rice bowl in China is a cremation technology major.

Yeah, not civil servants anymore.

And then the wider job market itself had been seeing the highest number of retrenchments since 2020.

And the reactions online from Singaporeans have been kind of centered around how the long-standing iron rice bowl is finally cracked.

And like people have been questioning whether the low-risk life paths that were viable before are still viable.

That was quite monumental because it's very unlike a government body to suddenly retrench such a lot of people because it's a signal to the economy that like, Ooh, wait a minute.
