It costs way too much.

You don't have a need for it, but... holding out that inner screen and having that, I not now iPad mini is a new one just came out today, but having that bigger size that you could work on and do editing on there.

That's nice.

That is a very nice touch.

Yeah, it's another big week of Apple news.

Just this morning, they announced a new iPad mini with OLED, which I know you're very excited about, Dave.

Yes.

I honestly didn't expect much of anything from Apple this week until Wednesday.

That's when Apple's inviting a select few to a Pro & Tell product event in Los Angeles, where they're expected to show off and talk about new MacBooks, new iMacs, and a new iPad mini.

Or they could just roll it all out heading into the Pro Intel event.

Let me tell you a little bit about it.

Apple has unveiled the all-new iPad mini, which the company hails as the tiny tablet's biggest update ever.

The redesigned iPad Mini brings a wide range of updates and improvements over its predecessor, the A17 Pro-powered model released in 2024.

Beyond moving to the latest A20 Pro chipset that powers Apple's flagship iPhone 18 Pro models and the brand new folding dual, the new iPad Mini gets dust and water resistance, a thinner, lighter design, A larger 8.5 OLED display now available with nano texture option.

That's a lot of significant changes.

First, the bigger OLED panel.

The most recent iPad mini model sports an 8.3 inch 2266 by 1488 liquid retina LCD.

The new 8.5 inch Super Retina XDR display not only moves to OLED, which means inkier blacks, but it's also twice as bright as before.

The reports of a potential sale caused the company's share price to spike more than 9.2% on Friday, while Uber and DoorDash stock declined.

On Monday, Apple announced a new iPad mini with a larger 8.5-inch OLED display.

Now, the tablet features a thinner and lighter design than its predecessor and is powered by an A20 Pro chip.

The new iPad mini starts at $699 for the Wi-Fi and cellular model.

The tech giant revealed the new device just days before its Pro and Tell event that's scheduled to take place on Wednesday.

Now, the new iPad mini is 5.4 millimeters in thickness and available in two colors.

The device delivers peak brightness of up to 1200 nits, more than twice that of the previous generation device, along with full screen brightness of 600 nits for SDR and HDR content and a 2 million to one contrast ratio.

Apple says the iPad mini is ideal for dim light environments.

Uh, you know, I, I, the iPad mini is a device that I always feel like I want one of, like I, I already have an iPad.

I have a 11 inch pro from a couple of years ago before they got really super expensive before they got super thin and super expensive.

Like me.

Um, still works fine.

I think the battery's not as great as it used to be, obviously, but I have no need for another iPad, really.

And I certainly don't have a need for an iPad Mini at these prices in this economy.

But Nano Texture has been on the iPad Pro for quite some time now.

For the base, 128 gigabytes.

I don't know why they still offer this.

You don't need to unfold it in them.
