Dave DabbahHOST
1:08
and of course a whole lot of a commentary we're gonna get into the five players that were waived in just a second we're also going to talk about the potential impact of zion pullen on this minnesota timberwolves team and i thought zion played absolutely fantastic during the summer league i thought in minutes that he was given during the preseason zion poland absolutely looks like he belongs in the national basketball association All right, the question of the day for you all is, will Poland actually earn NBA minutes, or is he actually going to hang out in Iowa with the Iowa Wolves more? Go ahead and drop your comments in.
Dave DabbahHOST
2:03
All right, so let's get into who the Timberwolves ultimately waived.
Dave DabbahHOST
2:09
Just the other day, the Minnesota Timberwolves let go of Enrique Freeman, K.J. Martin, O'Meara, Drew Timmy, and Antonio Reeves.
Dave DabbahHOST
6:40
And we all know that the depth chart for this Minnesota Timberwolves team at this point is quite frankly pretty deep.
Dave DabbahHOST
6:47
Just taking a look at this slide should tell you everything you need to know about our Timberwolves depth.
Dave DabbahHOST
6:55
it is a very very uh it is an excellent roster across the board love to know what your thoughts and opinions are about the depth chart for this minnesota timberwolves team So, we know that head coach Chris Finch is going to have some challenges to actually even get Pullen in games, which is why Pullen will probably spend a significant amount of time, if you will, with the Iowa Wolves.
Dave DabbahHOST
7:28
But if somebody or multiple players go down, I think the Timberwolves at this point with Zion Pullen have a viable option, somebody that is NBA ready and will be able to perform at a high level.

And the fact that over the last five years or so it's been a playoff team with capable management running the show so that you're confident that they will once again field a good team with the same amount of energy that you thought the previous administrations would not field a good team.
Britt RobsonGUEST
3:06
I think it's a great time to be a Wolves fan and I do think right now we have a situation where the team has dramatically changed its style and its identity and its energy and I just think it's pretty noteworthy that you went to the Western Conference Finals two years ago, you went to the semis last year really far places in most ancient Wolves memories anyway and they got trounced in both of those final series and instead of standing on status quo management decided if we're going to beat these two teams that have a lot more draft picks and youth than we do we're going to have to zag where instead of everybody zigging someplace and what they've done is they've put All the chips in the middle at the same time having a roster that has 12 players that are 26 years or younger.
Britt RobsonGUEST
4:13
That's a pretty nifty combination.
Bob RyanHOST

The Wolves play tonight in their second to last preseason game.
Jon KrawczynskiHOST
36:30
Uh, he has w- kind of gradually built his stock up within the organization over the last year plus now, and I think that he has really won over a lot of people, you know, w- in talking to people in the organization.
Jon KrawczynskiHOST
36:46
I think that he's gonna spend a little bit of time in Iowa, I'm sure, but I think you're gonna see him up with this team a lot when the season starts just because you know you look at point guard young point guard there there's question marks behind lamello ball in terms of the ball handling i think you know with io and tj and bones they have enough right now but uh i think that zion pullen has gotten to a point within this organization that they see him as another person that someone worth investing in and worth developing and so uh i know that coaches really like his work ethic they really like his coach ability and his aptitude for the game and so when you think about what preseason means for this roster it was really really important for zion pullen to come in play well in practice show well in games and he's done that and so i think that he is positioning himself to be someone that they think about and that actually could get real minutes in games with the big club this season depending on how other things shake out but he's he's a good good guy to watch right now
Jim SouhanHOST

The last two games will be Wolves crew on the zone.
Jon KrawczynskiHOST
40:27
So there's a little kind of inside baseball for all the Wolves fans who I'm sure were curious about why they were hearing Clyde Frazier, who's a delight with the Knicks, and why they were hearing the Miami Heat crew.
Jon KrawczynskiHOST
40:41
And I believe it was a visiting crew, the Pacers crew with Iowa as well.
Jon KrawczynskiHOST
40:47
So we're past all that now.
