OpenAI is a much messier story.

They're dealing with a federal trial, an active trade secret lawsuit from Apple, and their Joni-Ive collaboration, IO Products.

It's just completely unshipped.

It's basically vaporware tied up in litigation.

So then the other person could upstage them and then be like state of the art, right? I vividly remember...

OpenAI released the IO product with Joni Ive on the day of Google IO.

And I was like, there's just like so much competition going on, right? And so people just like naturally within these companies, but also within like Chinese model labs, open, closed, things like that.

So I feel like they've been able to get good because probably they've learned off some of the research and things that have, even the closed source models that you can kind of That's a school paper where you can kind of hack and you can see the reasoning traces and whatnot.
