Into the Unknown

Maybe it was Tokyo, but we were waiting outside a Disney store.

And while we were waiting for our friends to finish shopping in the Disney store, Into the Unknown was playing on a loop over and over again.

And I think it was the Japanese... version of froze up into the unknown so the only thing that i remember picking up was the the musical um theme of like her screaming out and that

oh

over and over and over again.

And I think that had imprinted on my mind.

And so that was the only thing I knew going into this film was the song Into the Unknown.

That's crazy because I have no

And so those notes are harder.

But during the lesson, we started singing Into the Unknown from Frozen 2.

And if you know me, you know how much I love musicals and Disney and how it is one of my favorite genres to sing.

I love it so, so much.

And at the beginning of Into the Unknown, Elsa is hearing this voice in the distance.

She doesn't know who it is or what it is.

She's starting to get really curious about it.

All these things that I've achieved in my life, I've gone up until what my limitations were.

I love him.

And yeah, I mean, their version of Into the Unknown, I think, is sadly superior to Idina

Menzel's.

Oh, come on.

Man.

It was the song "Into the Unknown" for me.

Yeah.

Like, I can barely talk about it.

Because the lyric- It literally, I just felt like God was like, "Kristen, I'm talking to you right now-

Mm-hmm

... through the words of this song", and it just, like that was the turning point where I was like, "I-- God is calling me into the unknown.

My family's not gonna understand," into all these things that, like, I've questioned about myself, and am I crazy, and is this real-

Like, people only have so much time.

It's, it's really, it's really being comfortable with where you're at, what you're doing, what's gonna come next, which nobody knows, and just, like, sort of leaning into the unknown.

I think the more you try to fight it, the harder it gets.

Mm.

... and let my mind be clear enough to try and learn, learn the three-hour show of Hamilton.

[laughs]

And now to play us out, Emily May is gonna sing Into the Unknown-

[laughs]
