Founded in 1947 as an extension of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA. InterVarsity Press serves those in the university, the church and the world by publishing thoughtful Christian books that equip and encourage people to follow Jesus as Savior and Lord in all of life. Our current publishing program is focused on three imprints: IVP Books offers general-interest books in categories like Christian living, discipleship, evangelism, missions, apologetics and cultural critique. However, when he talks about that this is not ecumenism and that's not even remotely close to what Joel Webben is doing, I would disagree because, you know, when you look at, say, Ian Murray's book, Evangelicalism Divided, the history of the change between 1950 and the year 2000 with what happened with the Billy Graham Crusades and the Intervarsity Press, the whole debate over the ecumenical movement there was whether or not we can have fellowship or partner together with Roman Catholics when it comes to certain things.
