Early problems on the Capital Beltway, Montgomery County.

We started off about half an hour ago with a wreck outer loop at Old Georgetown Road.

That backed us up towards the, uh, ramp at Georgia Avenue, and then in that backup, we had another wreck outer loop at New Hampshire Avenue, and that now is backed up towards I-ninety-five.

So a little bit of a broken field driving right now on the outer loop from ninety-five to the Mormon Temple.

In that same timeframe, there was a wreck on the BW Parkway southbound inside the Capital Beltway at Route four fifty.

Locally, we're good on the Beltway and at both the Harbor Tunnels.

If you're coming through Towson this morning, there was some late lifting construction around the intersection at York Road and Burke Avenue.

I just, two years ago, my wonderful, wonderful stepmother died of the complications from Alzheimer's.

And I remember the tipping point for our family when my brother and I stepped in and said to my dad and stepmother, we need to escalate things was, At the time, my dad and stepmother lived in Washington, D.C. And anyone that knows Washington, D.C., the Beltway is a nightmare on a good day.

And my stepmother got lost for hours on the Beltway.

And it was terrifying because my dad didn't have the wherewithal to realize how serious this was.

My brother and I were literally scrambling to try calling the police.

My first question, do you think that might be because John lives in New York City, which is the epicenter of violence against Jews, and you and I live in the Beltway where it's not that way? We did have two Jews assassinated in D.C., but it's not like the everyday issue with Mamdani stoking the fire.

Might that be the distinction between you and John?

I think John was focused more on where the Jewish community is right now, and I was trying to focus on what would be almost like a kind of strategy, but a potentially good thing that could happen in the future, given the fact that at this point, I think especially within the Democratic Party and many elite institutions, that enmity towards Israel, anti-Zionism, saying that the Gaza, the defense of war in Gaza is a genocide, is compelled speech.
