Interstate 405

First up, some neighboring traffic news that could affect Kirkland traffic.

Southbound I-405 will be closed in Bothell from 527 to 522 this weekend.

Oof, okay.

Now, that's from Friday, October 30th at 10 p.m. to Monday, November 2nd.

Sometimes they're on church property or public property.

I think one of the very first ones was over near a park and ride that King County owns on I-405 and actually worked quite well because they were somewhat regulated and they were safe for the people living there.

So I'm wondering, is that viewed as a reasonable alternative for people who are no longer living in an RV on the street next door?

I don't know.

Yeah.

The Northeast 132nd Street I-405 roundabout will be undergoing a modification next week with work happening overnight starting Monday, October 19th.

Mm.

And this is gonna be every night next week.

And prepare for more traffic chaos this weekend.

All lanes of southbound I-405 will be closed in Bothell through the weekend, so add extra travel time if you're headed south on I-5.

Traffic will get especially crazy on Sunday when the 49ers come to town to play at Lumen Field at 125.

And don't forget, northbound I-5 is reduced to two lanes thanks to Revive I-5.
