Internet Protocol

When the internet's original creators decided to publish their networking standards, called the Internet Protocol, so that any computer could connect to the network, they certainly had no idea that almost 30 years later their decision would provide the first real lever to pry the Microsoft-Intel duopoly from its leadership role.

But this very prospect is why one well-known technology investor was able to make a speech last week that might have caused him to be laughed off the stage a year ago.

He called it, Why Microsoft and Intel Don't Matter Anymore.

Das dominierende Protokoll, so eigentlich seit den 90ern in dem, im Bereich Gebäudeautomatisierung, ist ja BACnet.

Und da hat man dann mit BACnet IP 'ne Ethernet-IP-basierte Variante eingeführt, die jetzt eigentlich der dominierende Marktstandard ist.

Das ist alles sehr auf Interoperabilität ausgelegt und das ist so, dass es sehr gut funktioniert.

Also es geht da um Verfügbarkeit und einfache Installation, äh, und Inbetriebnahme.

Ähm, ja, also ich bin nach wie vor Fachsprechpartner für IT, OT und Security in der Gebäudeautomation und wie du's richtig gesagt hast, in der ersten Folge haben wir da so 'n bisschen, äh, ähm, dran gekratzt und ich find's cool, dass wir jetzt so den, den Deckel aufmachen und 'n bisschen reinschauen, ne, welche Protokolle laufen eigentlich, wo entstehen Risiken und, ähm, was mir ganz wichtig ist, warum halt Security grade auch in der Gebäudeautomation mehr als ein verschlüsseltes Protokoll vielleicht auch ist, ja.

Ähm, und, äh, deine, deine Einleitung war super.

Ähm, BACnet IP, äh, seit den, seit den 90ern Standard, hast du gesagt.

Ähm, ja, das ist so.
