That someone is Dr. Anthony Mazzella, who is a psychoanalyst and psychotherapist in private practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

He's a training analyst and full member at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, known as IPTAR, and a member of the International Psychoanalytic Association, which holds its members to the most rigorous standards for psychoanalytic training anywhere in the world.

Dr. Mazzella holds fellow status at both organizations, serves as faculty and as a supervisor at Iptar, and also teaches at the Metropolitan Institute for Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

Author of books Violence and Masculinity and Family Violence, she has published articles, chapters, and books in many languages on this and other subjects.
