and i man it used to make me so mad uh and it wasn't even like it wasn't even like wayne like went out there and just mopped the floor with everybody but it was like the principle of the matter you know and there was a couple times where he smacked me by a couple thou with it and they hurt just a little extra more i know yeah and it was like and another thing too because i saw a bunch of this this weekend uh coming out of the summit deal at norwalk or whatever they did to to do ET finals for all the people who didn't get ET finals because of the, the IHRA debacle.

We had multiple people hopping out of big cars to go race in juniors.

Absolutely should not be allowed.

And Pinky's got pretty good relationship with Mr. Duranaman as well.

So with him being the spokesperson of IHRA for a little bit, I would hope to see a good deal happen for him.

Disco is owed something because a lot of the growth that happened when IHRA was viable was because of him and was because of him just being way out there in the public and being a great promoter and things like that.

I mean, obviously he's promoted races.

He's built his own brand.

At three inches, the car drove perfectly.

The car was on the racetrack for the Wild Bunch's 1986 tour, and while it was still illegal for IHRA top sportsman action, the thing had achieved such national notoriety by running 720s at 196, it was so well known and, if not respected and feared, that by the time the 1987 season rolled around and people were eyeballing the players and candidates who could crack the six-second and 200-mile-per-hour barriers, the Howes RCD Dotson was making the lists, and I'm talking a bunch of lists, in almost every drag racing magazine.

Howe's name appearing on the same pages as Robbie Vandergrift, Scott Shafferoff, Bill Coleman, Buddy Ingersoll, and others.

The 1987 opened a new door for the Wild Bunch members and one that they had been beating on for almost a decade.

Oh, terrible.

Drag strips are going, you know, and then that whole IHRA.

That debacle.

I saw that coming when he was buying all that stuff.

We was talking licensing, and main reason I think we got on this subject earlier, Casey, is because, um, you know, we have a little bit of a debacle right now with IHRA stepping out.

I'm gonna go to Ross Gould 'cause it's kind of a question, uh, and more so a comment inside of a thought.

Um, he wonders if WDRA will re- reform.

They had something great and got swallowed up by IHRA.

I'm gonna wait on that one just a little bit longer.

Uh, we talked a little bit about the IHRA's massive implosion.

If you don't remember this, it is the, um, it was the sanctioning body that, um, they came in and, and created the series and bought a bunch of drag strips, and I think they even tried to start a stock car series.

And, um, there was a little bit of a legal dispute.

So the owner of the series says that, um, Tesla, or, uh, not Tesla, SpaceX, has not, uh, paid him for some of his, um, contract work.

And SpaceX has sued him because, uh, they went and looked at their books, and there was quite a bit of, um, double invoices and, uh, invoices for product that was never delivered, invoices for product that was never ordered, and so there was some sa- shady stuff going on.

So they stopped paying him for his contract work and took him to court, and that's when all the money for IHRA, uh, evaporated, 'cause we're talking, uh, the number I heard was billions of dollars.
