International Scout

Jeep.

We got to do all the testing for the new International Scout for Audi.

Oh, really? And

we used his Jeep as we had to put special drive lines with torque meters on the drive lines, put brand new skid plates on it, run the trail.

I'm selling old cars, guys, as is, just to let you guys know in the pod.

Um, your boy's got a '68 International Scout.

Needs a lot of work.

I'm selling it, dude.

And not enough people to do it, but yes, exactly.

The name Scout, International Scout, is a pretty iconic name.

People I've talked to, I was a week or so ago, I was at a cruise night, the name Scout came up, we were talking about it a little bit, and some of the concerns and comments were, how do you preserve such an iconic name and how do you enhance it at the same time?

Yeah, great question.

So we're not sort of tweener in between segments like some other competitors are out there, right? Our truck is the proper American truck.

And we think this is exactly, when we look at segment trends and what vehicles customers are buying, we're going right where the market is.

And Scout is not new, or International Scout is not new.

In fact, I was out doing an errand the other day, and I saw a probably late 50s, early 60s International pickup.

And until next week, make sure you wear your seatbelt, drive safely, be good to your car, and if you do see an emergency vehicle by the side of the road, slow down or move over.

Oh, yeah, next week we're also going to be talking about the new You remember International Scout? Well, this is a new scout from technically Volkswagen.

We'll be talking to them next week.

So until then, take care.

I've always been into sports.

I like old trucks.

I have a couple of old international scouts.

I'm not a big...

I like sports cars and stuff like that, but I like old trucks.

So that's a little bit different than your average plastic surgeon probably.

And... sporting wise and that I'm not a former professional anything, but I, I am, and I was pretty good at squash and racket sports.

My man, you spent a lot of time unrusting an International Scout to put gold wheels on it

The vintage 1950 wheels and bicycle tires really set this build apart from the rest

Almost immediately, authorities received a lucky break.

A park employee had noticed a blue and white 1979 International Scout parked near Armstrong's house the night of her death.

And police had issued a be on the lookout alert for the vehicle.

On the afternoon of July 22nd, two rangers spotted the scout parked on the shoulder of California 140 in the Merced River County, about 12 miles from the western entrance of the park.

Aware of the murders of the three tourists at the Cedar Lodge, she had told colleagues at the Institute that she'd worried about spending a night alone in her isolated cabin.

Just before dusk, she packed up her car for her trip to Sausalito.

A blue and white international scout came down the dirt road towards her house and stopped.

According to his confession, Stainer stepped out of his vehicle, approached Armstrong's pickup truck, and said hello.
