These people just go to ten, twenty, thirty doctors telling them, "It's all in your head," and they really lose hope, and they don't need to lose hope because most of these diseases, even MS, all these patients who came to me over the years with multiple sclerosis, most of them, their demyelination was not due to true MS, which we now know in part is from Epstein-Barr variants.

It was from Lyme and Bartonella and mold and heavy metals causing demyelination, and when we treated the demyelination by going to the root causes, these people got better, which is why their ABC drugs like Avonex, Betaseron, Copaxone, Rebif, drugs that knocked out their B cells, they don't need these drugs anymore.

Now, there are obviously true cases of MS due to EBV, but even that case, what I did is I did a deep dive in the literature and found that some older drugs that we've been using forever in medicine like Persantine and spironolactone, um, used for women with PCOS, which is now called PMOS, metabolic syndrome, or Persantine for TIAs, for str- for mini strokes, these same drugs at low doses stop Epstein-Barr from replicating with some of the standard antivirals like famciclovir.

So I even went on a medical, you know, intellectual journey in the book saying, "Listen, for you people who have re- relapsing EBV where there are no really good choices, when I did this dive in the literature, you may wanna look at these combos." We still need, you know, multicenter randomized trials to prove it, but I made sure that people know what the integrative solutions are, what herbs and natural things can you use to fight viruses, right? Olive leaf extract, raising up your natural killer cells with three, six beta glucans or some of my favorite mushrooms like, um, maitake, and there's a whole bunch of them actually.

So in both MS and in rheumatoid arthritis, and I've had many patients come to me with these diagnoses, we got them off their methotrexate.

We stopped their ABC drugs for MS with Avonex, beta-serine, Copaxone, steroids, because it wasn't true MS.

It was Lyme and Bartonella and mold driving an autoimmune demyelinating disease.

But we also had to look at the microbiome.

Interestingly, the researchers noted that while relapses were largely unchanged, vitamin D did appear to have a more measurable impact on MRI scans, but even those findings were mixed.

For example, in one clinical trial, adding naturally occurring vitamin D to Rebif significantly reduced active lesions and overall lesion burden.

And a secondary analysis of one of the trials included in this study found that trial participants receiving daily vitamin D alongside their treatment were more likely to remain free of new or enlarging brain lesions.

Yet other studies showed conflicting results with no significant change in lesion counts.

We're going to start you with some disease modifying therapy, some DMT.

So my first medication was Avonex, which was in a weekly injection.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I think I prioritized my health in that manner.

And so I stopped, going back to my journey, I did stop the medication.

I stopped the Avonex.

They switched me from Avonex to Tecfidera.
