Interact Club

Yeah.

The local Interact Club, which is basically Rotary for 12 to 18-year-olds.

Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts has some amazing kids programming.

Hockey, the Collinwood Music Festival, of course, does an amazing program for youth, young music prodigies.

What's more important, what were you able to achieve? So for example, I've met people who have done like fantastic volunteering work.

I've done, I've seen people who have done fantastic work with like Rotary Club, Interact Club, um, with Scouts, um, with the Red Crescent, Red Cross, et cetera.

So I think I definitely would say I'm looking for that.

And I think I'm looking for people who are doing things above and beyond what is expected of them as a student.

Oh my gosh, I love

that.

We have a pretty good-sized group of kids this year at Cromwell High School that are Interact members, and they talk about community projects.

They're going to be the kids you're going to see out on the side of the road picking up trash on Sunday mornings.

I serve as the Rotary president today for Buena Park Rotary.

And one of the high school kids from our Interact Club, which is the high school version of Rotary, the club that we sponsor, when he graduated said, I want to be a Rotarian.

And you never hear that from 18-year-olds.

You never hear that.

It's not easy to get people out of their houses and turn off the Netflix and to put down their phones from doom scrolling.

But it becomes really fun when you are able to.

Part of that has been the Buena Park High School Interact Club.

Getting these kids to be excited about being a community, about belonging, has been something incredible.
