Well, why don't you say something about, um, the famous sp- Fidel speech, and, and it kind of maps onto something that happened in the Soviet Union too, but, but go ahead

aheadYeah, so, so I just, I just wanted to comment on, uh, this June 1961 speech, um, Words to the Intellectuals, um, that th- this is a f- a speech that Fidel gives to, uh, essentially, like a, a congress of the intelligentsia, you know, um, academics, artists, um, musicians, people of, of that sort.

Um, a- and essentially this, this is in, like a few months after the, the, um, invasion of Playa Girón, uh, which in, in the West we know as the Bay of Pigs invasion.

Um, and essentially this is at, at a time in which the self-determination of the revolution must be protected because it, it is, it's very, very vulnerable.
