Yeah, that giant Integrity poster that's all over that movie.

Yeah.

Like, basically any scene in the record store, you see that Integrity poster.

It's a fun record.

It is a little more hardcore, too, than I remember it being.

It doesn't matter what it is as long as we're talking about music.

And today's guest is Aaron Melnick, most notably of Integrity, but also New Clay.

He's an author, wrote a book called Bringing Out the Beast.

He played bass in Die Hard.

Did you take a lot of cues from Tony Iommi's guitar playing at all?

Yeah, he was one of my favorite guitar players.

I think partially consciously and partially subliminally, Tony Iommi is going to be all over a lot of those early Integrity stuff.

I mean, I just feel like, I don't know.

Um, the 28th is Neolithic, who put, are putting out two new songs that are fucking rippers.

Um, Dead Guy, Indecision, Integrity.

Mm.

That show is sold out.

Most Precious Blood with me, not the other guy, Doing Nothing in Vain.

Sure.

And then Integrity doing some stuff that you're gonna wanna see.

And, uh, from what I was told, that's got like 15 or 20 tickets left.

Yeah, fair.

I think Integrity is a big offender of that.

Where a lot of the songs from Those Who Fear Tomorrow were just on various splits or compilations.

And then the best versions are typically on Those Who Fear Tomorrow.

I kind of wanted, because there's not that many.

Once we were thinking about it, I was like, the amount of splits that I want to talk about could be, should be, I thought it might be longer, and it's really not.

But, Dan, were you going to talk about Integrity Hapery?

No, I was going to talk about Fear Tomorrow and Integrity.

Yeah, I thought it was good.

I mean, obviously I was like, "I don't know, man," like, because like people really worship this shit, but he kinda had the same attitude that, um, Dwid had with, like, doing Integrity stuff.

He was like, "Yeah, I know people are gonna be like, 'Fuck this,' but some people might be, who've never heard the band before might be like, 'Hey, this is, this is cool.'" Like that-

But that had a very specific purpose, right?

Uh, it's nothing cool.

I just saw a fucking Judge and Integrity for the first time at the age of 36 and having listened to both of them since I was, like, 15 fucking years old.

And, yeah, it fucking rocked.

Um, it was really cool to see Judge and then not suck because I've heard, like, for, I don't know, fucking years now that, like, after the reunion show at Black and Blue, they've been, like, bad, but...

That was like a fucking religious experience.

And then Integrity's still fucking cool.

Only thing that pissed me off was they didn't play In Contrast to Sin, which is like, why would you write one of the greatest songs ever and not play it? Whatever, I'm probably overstaying my fucking welcome as always.
