confused the light cycles are really interesting because you basically grab what would be like the motorcycle handlebars and to lock the restraint down you basically push the handlebars forward which leans your whole body forward against the tank and at the same time the backrest comes up and pushes down on your back so it's like your body's physically trying to go forward at the same time it's pushing you down and forward so it really does pin you in there really well Like, you don't feel at all like you can come loose out of those things.

No, it's, it's an insane, it's really an ins- insane attraction and, and, and all credits, uh, to Intamin, uh, and, and to the park about that.

That's why the track actually has a lot of simula- uh, similarities when you look at it to a B&M, like the spine of it.

What else? Oh, yeah, speaking of B&M, I think that's another thing is B&M's hyper coasters are so good nowadays that in comparison, just Goliath isn't as fun.

Bringing a high-speed system like Hagrid's does pose numerous problems, first being manufacturer.

Hagrid is an Intamin coaster, where Everest was contracted by Vekoma.

Intamin coasters are notorious for pushing the envelope for cool breakthroughs, but also lack reliability.

And what I also think is kind of funny is because it's like that Wild West theme or Southwest Territory theme.

Today, the park sees regular investment with new roller coasters seemingly added every two to three years.

My two most anticipated rides in the park are Mecladon, the new-for-2025 Gerstlauer-launched family coaster known for solid floater airtime and great theming, and of course Conda, a new-school Intamin not-quite-hyper coaster that opened in 2021.

We entered the park straight down the main midway, passing the wooden loop guru before dog-legging to the left over the central lagoon.

The layout is a simple loop around this lake, but there's also a pathway that crosses over in the middle.

While Teddy would undoubtedly be the first in line for any roller coaster, drop towers really get to him.

I get it, they kind of freak me out too, but isn't that part of the fun of visiting these parks? Putting yourself outside your comfort zone and conquering your fears? A bit of peer pressure convinced him to join us, and we soon lowered the shoulder harnesses and headed up.

Dalton's Terror is a 252-foot or 77-meter-tall Intamin giant drop with a top speed of 68 miles an hour or 110 kilometers per hour.

It's named for the Dalton brothers, antagonists in the Belgian cowboy comic series Lucky Luke.

You know, Disney and Vekoma, Universal and Intamin.

I think to some extent, I would say Six Flags and RMC.

These companies work together, and that's how it goes.
