RyanHOST
21:16
And it's got that same kind of thing that you described where something comes up down the lower part of your back and then something around your calves.
RyanHOST
21:25
But that's an Intamin.
RyanHOST
21:26
So I wasn't...
GregHOST
21:28
confused the light cycles are really interesting because you basically grab what would be like the motorcycle handlebars and to lock the restraint down you basically push the handlebars forward which leans your whole body forward against the tank and at the same time the backrest comes up and pushes down on your back so it's like your body's physically trying to go forward at the same time it's pushing you down and forward so it really does pin you in there really well Like, you don't feel at all like you can come loose out of those things.
Peter van der SchansGUEST
48:14
Yeah.
Peter van der SchansGUEST
48:14
No, it's, it's an insane, it's really an ins- insane attraction and, and, and all credits, uh, to Intamin, uh, and, and to the park about that.
Peter van der SchansGUEST
48:24
It's, it's some magnificent- Machine, literally.
Peter van der SchansGUEST
48:29
It's, it's-
Byron MarinHOST
21:06
It-- [sighs] I'm trying to- Gianni Versace's brother makes coasters ...
Byron MarinHOST
21:07
I wanna try and get this story right because I believe Giovanola is kind of like a, a baby between B&M and it might have been Intamin.
Byron MarinHOST
21:18
That's why the track actually has a lot of simula- uh, similarities when you look at it to a B&M, like the spine of it.
Byron MarinHOST
21:24
What else? Oh, yeah, speaking of B&M, I think that's another thing is B&M's hyper coasters are so good nowadays that in comparison, just Goliath isn't as fun.
KirkHOST
18:47
Bringing a high-speed system like Hagrid's does pose numerous problems, first being manufacturer.
KirkHOST
18:53
Hagrid is an Intamin coaster, where Everest was contracted by Vekoma.
KirkHOST
18:58
Intamin coasters are notorious for pushing the envelope for cool breakthroughs, but also lack reliability.
KirkHOST
19:03
Accelerator is a perfect example." Uh, if he's talking about knots.
Christian RainwaterHOST
19:07
Yeah.
AlexHOST
46:59
And I love a good first-gen free fall.
AlexHOST
47:00
Intamin first-gen free falls.
AlexHOST
47:02
I always have time for.
SeanHOST
47:04
And what I also think is kind of funny is because it's like that Wild West theme or Southwest Territory theme.
TobyHOST
13:49
But then Slammer was nowhere near 20 years old.
TobyHOST
13:52
It also wasn't Intamin, though.
KurtHOST
13:55
What? Slammer? No, it wasn't Intamin.
TobyHOST
13:57
It wasn't a
KurtHOST
13:57
big manufacturer like that.
KurtHOST
13:59
Yeah, but...
KurtHOST
14:02
Not a big manufacturer.
KurtHOST
14:03
Yeah, but it's not Intamin.
CalebHOST
150:46
Oh, yeah
MikeHOST
150:46
... and one of them is a multi-launching like Intamin rollercoaster.
MikeHOST
150:48
So if you-
CalebHOST
150:50
Wow
MikeHOST
150:51
... buy one of those, whatever, uh, if, let's say Six Flags buys that too.
MikeHOST
150:54
It's like, "Hey, $15 million, a bargain discount on four Intamins." It's like, "Okay, we'll take one, we'll take the big one.
MikeHOST
150:59
They're 100 something, 40-something feet.
MikeHOST
151:01
Put it there, remove X2, and then we'll announce the, 'Hey, we're opening this in 2020,' whatever, and this is, Thrill Glide is getting its opening next year." And then like you, we're also, uh, building another, another ride here later as well.
EricHOST
21:04
Today, the park sees regular investment with new roller coasters seemingly added every two to three years.
EricHOST
21:10
My two most anticipated rides in the park are Mecladon, the new-for-2025 Gerstlauer-launched family coaster known for solid floater airtime and great theming, and of course Conda, a new-school Intamin not-quite-hyper coaster that opened in 2021.
EricHOST
21:25
We entered the park straight down the main midway, passing the wooden loop guru before dog-legging to the left over the central lagoon.
EricHOST
21:31
The layout is a simple loop around this lake, but there's also a pathway that crosses over in the middle.

15 MINS LATER

EricHOST
36:42
While Teddy would undoubtedly be the first in line for any roller coaster, drop towers really get to him.
EricHOST
36:47
I get it, they kind of freak me out too, but isn't that part of the fun of visiting these parks? Putting yourself outside your comfort zone and conquering your fears? A bit of peer pressure convinced him to join us, and we soon lowered the shoulder harnesses and headed up.
EricHOST
37:01
Dalton's Terror is a 252-foot or 77-meter-tall Intamin giant drop with a top speed of 68 miles an hour or 110 kilometers per hour.
EricHOST
37:10
It's named for the Dalton brothers, antagonists in the Belgian cowboy comic series Lucky Luke.
TylerHOST
70:11
So it's a sit-down.
TylerHOST
70:13
What is stealth? An Intamin?
WestHOST
70:16
Yeah, it's also tall.
WestHOST
70:17
You could try Hyperia if that doesn't work out.
Clete ReinbergerHOST
44:13
I think when you have a really tight relationship with a coaster manufacturer, that's a real thing.
Clete ReinbergerHOST
44:19
You know, Disney and Vekoma, Universal and Intamin.
Clete ReinbergerHOST
44:23
I think to some extent, I would say Six Flags and RMC.
Clete ReinbergerHOST
44:27
These companies work together, and that's how it goes.
