And so I began to collaborate with this group of economists, sort of heterodox economists, but principally my co-author, Eric Beinacher, who runs something called the Institute for New Economic Thinking at Oxford University.

He has a couple of hundred researchers who work for him there.

And we began, what started as an intuition about how this stuff was all wrong, hardened into a conviction as we did more and more research on what the empirical evidence showed.

The math side of it, I think, and I forget who it was.

There's an organization, the Institute for New Economic Thinking.

But it was one of their web programs that I watched on their YouTube channel.

It was about how economists would rather be precisely wrong than broadly correct.
