We spoke with Dr. Carmit Valensi.

She is a senior fellow and head of the Syrian Research Program at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv.

She told us that those declarations from both sides are, again, not new.

But she did point out another trend worth noticing in the new Syrian government's messaging.

Some analysts disagree with that take.

For Syria, The country is trying to rebuild after a long and bloody civil war.

And Damascus kind of views the restoration of its military capabilities as both a fundamental sovereign right and an existential security imperative.

And now on Iran, I'll turn to Danny Citrinowicz, who for 25 years was in Israeli military intelligence, an agency known as Amman.

The problem is not the expertise of the inter-community.

I think the problem is how much the decision-makers are willing to observe and listen to those experts or they're using them as a deep state and then it's hopeless and they will decide whatever they want to do regardless of what the experts will say.

Here on the Mossad Files, I'm speaking with Danny Citrinowicz for 25 years in the Israeli military's intelligence directorate, an agency often known as Amman, and now at the Institute for National Security Studies in the Tel Aviv area.

So I mentioned Israel's standing in the world and in U.S. politics, in part as someone who analyzes strategy and what Israel's able to do.

The United States attacking Iran, Israel attacking in Gaza and in Syria.

And we have to ask, what is happening here? What is the overall Israeli strategy in Gaza? Why is it pushing away certain countries from the coordination mechanism in Kiryat Gat? What is the United States trying to achieve when attacking in the Hormuz Strait? All of that and more, we will be speaking today with Tamir Hayman, the head of the Institute for National Security Studies and the former head of the Israeli Military Intelligence.

Uh, um, it probably is.

Um, I saw a poll, uh, uh, yesterday, let's assume it was conducted in the last week, I don't know the exact date, from the, uh, uh, INSS, the, uh, um, um, Institute for National Security Studies here in Tel Aviv, that showed that, uh, 78% of Israelis support the war.
