Inspector Mirov

The missing guard is then noticed, and when investigated, the body is discovered in the same condition as the thief, forcing Saxton to eventually reveal the truth about the specimen.

Police Inspector Mirov works to keep the news quiet while the search for the creature is underway.

Meanwhile, a woman works her way to Dr. Wells' protection, claiming to just need some help.

The doctor and Miss Jones perform an autopsy on the guard to find that his brain is completely smooth, leading them to theorize that the creature is somehow absorbing all the victim's memories and skills.

Wells is revealed to be a spy when she goes to break into the safe to steal the Countess's previously secured valuable.

The creature emerges, telling two more guards and the newly revealed spy.

Wells shows up and begins to be targeted by the creature until Inspector Mirov arrives, firing his pistol at the creature.

As it dies, it stares at Mirov, causing him to collapse.
