Because they've had cards like this before and they're good.

Yeah, this was like the best green common in like Midnight Hunt or something.

Yeah, but I don't even think it had trample.

We have a cycle of rare lands.

They're the reprints of the Midnight Hunt lands.

So for example, Deserted Beach, this land enters tapped unless you control two or more other lands, taps to add white or blue.

Kind of weird for me to mention a rare, but each individual rare shows up in, I think, 50% of draft tables.

It's a common card.

Create a 4-4 green beast creature token with trample with flashback for 6 mana.

We had a card in Midnight Hunt called Shadow Beast Sighting that was a very similar card.

It was a 4-mana sorcery that made a 4-4 without trample.

Um, today we are going to be talking about Innistrad Midnight Hunt, which was the third set in Innistrad or the third block in Innistrad basically.

This is part one of a two part, uh, I guess vampire wedding sort of thing.

This was like the first Innistrad was like, you know, monster movie horror.

Yeah, the theme was, I mean, like, look, shout outs to Kay Arsenal Rivera, who wrote a fantastic story for these two blocks.

I really liked the way that she covered Arlen Kord and her, like, issues with faith and being a werewolf and all this stuff.

But ostensibly, these two sets, Midnight Hunt and Crimson Vow, were meant to highlight monsters that had maybe been underlooked in other places.

parts of Innistrad, namely zombies and vampires, which of course are not at all underlooked.

We're getting the allied colors.

These were originally in Innistrad Midnight Hunt.

Yeah, I believe so.

um something i want to note about reality fracture we have a couple of interesting reprints with mirror cards in there i believe as of today snapcaster mage is number crunched out so we can't have a snapcaster sting caster in the same set probably for the best to be clear but that is i think formally crunched out of the set via via name and number crunch

Really good example is a card called Blessed Defiance, which is single white mana instant.

This is a common for midnight hunt.

It was a huge over performer.

It looks like a bad combat trick.

From there, just adding in a bunch of other cards that I wanna try.

In white, we have Aerial Boost as a free combat trick that gives flying.

[clicks tongue] We have Sunset Revelry, which is a, like, the mini Timely Reinforcements from, uh, Midnight Hunt.

That's another nod to a card that is better on the draw.
