yeah, I've heard of it.

Adobe illustrator has one called Inkscape.

Okay.

And the list goes on to other things.

Yeah.

I had to download like Ink Stitch and Inkscape-

... and you have to...

Yeah

... like you've had things like, you know, Inkscape and, and, and, and GIMP and things like that that have tried to kind of like come into the mix, and as an independent you can definitely use those tools.

But, but Adobe reigns supreme, you know what I mean? Like they, for people who, especially like people who, like designers and people who have education in fields where they need to use these things, they were provided by workplaces, right? Like that's how important that it was that like, you know, your, your career is almost like completely reliant on this like set of tools that was just so, so heavily safeguarded.

And so now be- because, because of, of what's happened, like it is like the immediate and direct defiance of that concept, right? Because it's now-

Um, you know, whether that be furniture, you know, space planning, or whether that be elevations, you know, tile placement, et cetera, any of that stuff, um, they can tackle.

Um, renderings is, is very common in the Philippines, um, in terms of, like, using SketchUp with, like, an Inkscape plugin, so they can tackle stuff like that.

Okay.

Um, you know, my, my seniors-- A- and everyone uses it a little differently, but, you know, my seniors even have them help with, like, putting presentations together in the sense that, you know, my seniors are doing the creative, but sometimes my, my seniors want to do, like, kind of a, you know, for lack of a better term, a quick and dirty presentation where they'll just kinda drag, you know, what they want into their presentation, and then the remote person or the remote junior or, you know, with design assist, the design assistant would go back through and clean it up and make it look pretty and make sure, you know, everything's lined up and all that, and-

And nowadays you have to keep paying every single month if you want to keep using Photoshop or one of those other bits of software that I mentioned.

There have been some very good attempts, I will say, at, uh, recreating various bits of functionality and, of course, compatibility with that software, um, stuff like, uh, you know, GIMP and Inkscape and, uh, you know, lots of stuff from the open source world.

I've used it myself and been quite happy with it.

But unfortunately, unfortunately I do need to use the Adobe Suite in my day job, so I do have a subscription, and I'm very much looking forward to the day when I can free myself from those particular shackles.

Yeah

... time or two they have opened that, you know, PDF in Inkscape or Illustrator and changed the line weight.

Like, okay, there are vectors.

They have different-

But if you lose-- If you wanna save it, it's gonna save it as, um, as...

The Inkscape allows links, but, uh, it might save it as a, you know, a base64.

So it's [chuckles] gonna be very, very large, and it's gonna be slow, uh, to load and to edit.

Okay.

The .Linux VM includes an XFCE desktop, a terminal emulator, a file manager, a browser, Blender, GIMP, Inkscape, KDE and Live, like more and more.

And the agent can use all of it, and you can take over.

In the web browser, you can take over the desktop session.
