Now, every community might not have rolled out the welcome mat for net zero.

In the Hinchinbrook Shire, south of Ingham, a small North Queensland locality sits close to one of the nation's biggest proposed wind farms.

And there's debate over whether the benefits to the local community are worth it.

James Tugwell has the story.

Yeah, it certainly has.

It's been persistent really for the last several days.

Lots of showers feeding in, particularly areas north of Ingham.

That's where we've had the bulk of the showers, particularly the Cassowary Coast and Daintree Falls in the last 24 hours to 9am this morning.

He suffered significant chest injuries and was taken to the Dolby Hospital in a life-threatening condition but has since stabilised.

We'll head to North Queensland shortly, where a first-of-its-kind seafood event is taking place in Ingham.

But now, sending cattle to the desert probably doesn't sound like the best move.

But after receiving well above its annual rainfall, the Strzelecki Desert is looking a picture.

So Very interesting detail indeed, but great stuff to see happening as we see this golf course coming to fruition at Royal Queensland.

Now, there's some work going on at Ingham Golf Club, which is located in the township of Ingham in northern Queensland.

Now, Ingham's about an hour and a half's drive north of Townsville, so it's a long way up north into Queensland, and they're in the Now they've received a government grant to assist them in improving their community golf club and this is a great improvement for the golf club themselves.

The greens are being built to USGA spec and I will have more details coming through on this one on the design brief segment of the podcast.

Now if you're familiar with that one it's a segment where we talk about golf course architecture where I also interview golf course architects so we can chat about architecture and so on.

But it's very, very good to hear about these significant improvements happening up at Ingham Golf Club.
