Ingénue

That's so sad.

So how come you're not up in Ingenue or Leading Lady? Hell, I thought you'd still be there.

I don't know.

Oh, I showed up as usual and they said, oh, you've been reassigned.

There's a ton of literature on them by this point, so I'm not gonna go super in-depth because, like, it's a pretty long story.

But essentially, Ziz Lasota is a trans woman now in her mid-30s and was, much like Michelle Zajko and Ingenue, she grew up in Alaska to high-achieving parents and also interned at NASA before relocating to the Bay Area to work in tech.

Ziz was a devout rationalist and a staunch vegan, and she applied the idea of effective altruism not only to people and future people, but to every sentient being on Earth.

She's trying to work out, you know, if I step on six ants today, like, what has my, like, net outcome been for the day in terms of do-gooding, that kind of thing.

I'm just saying that this is what a real person looks like.

And she was the ingenue, the main love interest in not only this, but the Indiana Jones franchise.

Ingenue, ingenue, ingenue, rest in peace, but also an ingenue.

This group of women has some of the most prolific acting credits of all time.

And all of them look like real people.

But, uh, I, I, I also very much love that, uh, she considered the character, like an, uh, kind of a homage and piss take towards, like, the more doe-eyed ki- like, you know, silly, uh, naive-

... ingénue sort of characters that she had played at the time.

'Cause it's, it's...

well, I guess it's not a lot of pressure.

Like Ingenue.

You just have to be inspiring.

You don't have to actually do anything.

Hello, I'm Amity Bryson.

Welcome back to Divas, Ingenues and Vixens.

[upbeat music] There was a time when one of the easiest ways to describe me was voice teacher.

I studied and trained to be just that, a voice pedagogue, a teacher of singing.
