InfoGear Technology

... and in wandering through National Semiconductor's labs, I ran into a little research project they had which was an eight bit microprocessor with a little mini browser on it, and they had built a prototype of, of something that they didn't know what it was, but they were thinking around, you know, information appliances.

And I said, "Can I have that?" And so I, I took that and, you know, created a company called InfoGear Technology Corporation, backed by one of my venture friends from the, the, the Callin data systems days as well as NEA, and had the pleasure of working with Dick Kramlich and, and Scott Sandell.

And we built the original internet appliances, and in fact we built the original iPhones.

So we had the intellectual property which represented the integration of web and telephony.
