Individual Family Service Plan

So like in preschool or when you get into the school systems, you develop what you call an IEP or an individual education program.

We develop what we call an IFSP.

So it's an individual family centered education program.

So We want to kind of service what the family's priorities are.

And I totally disagree.

I think that every OT and speech therapist need to be asking in IEP meetings, in IFSP meetings, what is going on with meals? Because meals are a part of the school day.

Yes, they are.

So if we go into ADA, if we go into Section 504, if we go into IDEA, like we have laws that do protect and make sure that people with disabilities are able to have participation in these typical activities of daily living.

Uh, service coordinator's assigned to the family, and eligibility is, is determined through an evaluation process that she described.

Once a family and child are eligible, an IFSP, which is an invi- Individualized Family Service Plan, is written, and service provi- providers are identified.

Those can be Cuyahoga DD, or it could be other service providers in the community.

Um, as she mentioned, we are the primary provider of EI services.
