Independent contracting in the United States

estimates in New Jersey are that there's about 1.7 million independent contractors.

Sure.

We had a massive, massive response to the recent rulemaking, which was about 9,500 public comments.

We knew some of it was coming.

So.

Big day in New Jersey, possibly, as I wrote on my sub stack, the biggest assault that big labor has ever made in a single day against independent contractors anywhere in any 24 hour period.

So back when California's 85 was put into effect, that was a law.
