I've seen like maybe half of his movies, um, mostly his more recent ones.

Yeah, 'cause I mean, you, uh, Incendies is incredible, and well, I was reading something where he like was making movies way back then and then stopped to like learn.

He was like, "I don't feel confident being a filmmaker," and waited and then was like, "All right.

I'm coming back to it, and I'm gonna fucking kill it," and he has.

still haven't seen Come and See.

What about Incendies? Oh, yeah.

That's a horror film.

Especially at the end.

Now, Lawrence of Arabia is old, so that one has probably fluctuated in and out as films come and go.

So, um, yeah, so a French Canadian filmmaker from Quebec, he started with, uh, his, so we're gonna talk about his first four films in chronological order.

He starts with August 32nd on Earth in 1998, which is followed by Maelstrom in 2000, after which he takes an eight, nine-year gap, uh, from filmmaking and returns in 2009 with Polytechnique and 2010 with En- with Incendies, which is probably the moment where he really breaks out into the mainstream.
