is ceasing publication.

So she and David Steiner started...

Now I usually only cover stories of nuclear revenge that succeed, but I want to talk about one which backfired so badly it made major news headlines all over the world.

David and Ina Steiner, a couple who live in the U.S. state of Massachusetts, own a blog called eCommerce Bytes and regularly publish articles on eCommerce news.

Back in 2019, Ina published a story on the blog covering a lawsuit being brought against the auction site eBay, criticizing the company heavily.

You'd think eBay, being a major corporation, would barely take notice of one relatively small blog, but it did.

And when eBay came on the scene, that's what I sort of felt like they were.

And so I ask that because even this story, so I'm talking to you from Massachusetts and Ina and David Steiner obviously live in Natick, Massachusetts.

And this story, because of the Massachusetts angle, you know, I saw headlines over the past handful of years around Natick couple issues.

In this issue with eBay and because, you know, my thinking was I have no interest in eBay and I had just sort of assumed, oh, this must be like a vendor company kind of litigation, you know, around some contractual stuff.

The people like the Steiner, as the company grew, they started to have live events where you could meet sellers and you could meet one another.

It would be once a year at this, you know, giant convention center.

People would bring their specialty wares and Ina and David loved it.

They got to know so many people.
