Moose-a-roo, I'm doing little bits and pieces on that in between... stages of a much bigger project which is in 1 32nd scale and after thinking no i'll wait and to buy one a club member who bought the edward 1 32nd mustang b took one lick in the box and went oh no i don't want to do all of that 3d stuff and i thought okay and he's like do you want it so we agreed a price and i bought it and started it and Well, I don't think, I certainly didn't think I'd build it as quick as I have.
DanHOST

Admittedly, I did take it to Duxford to the final flying day of the season with the Motley IPMS crew.
DanHOST
4:44
And we sat there and did some modelling as well.
DanHOST
4:48
I don't usually do building models at shows, if I'm honest with you.

November 1947, an invitation to tender was issued for specification B33-46 for a medium bomber.
Erik ParkerGUEST
25:57
So one of the things, again, to remember when you see the sort of Vulcan and the Victor towering over you at Cosford or at Duxford is these were actually medium bombers.
Erik ParkerGUEST
26:08
This wasn't considered a heavy bomber.

The Supermarine Spitfire, the Schneider Trophy Bloodline Behind Its Elliptical Wing, and the Man Who Designed It Knowing He Wouldn't Live to See It Fight

Tail DraggerHOST

You can see Spitfires today at air shows across England and at museums from London to Los Angeles.
Tail DraggerHOST
11:11
The Imperial War Museum at Duxford has them flying.
Tail DraggerHOST
11:14
The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford and at Hendon has them on static display.
Tail DraggerHOST
11:19
The Solent Sky Museum in Southampton, near where Mitchell worked, has materials from his design work and the story of how the Schneider races became the Spitfire.
Gary ComerfordHOST

And the big boys, the 18-wheel trucks of 26 tonnes or over, can claim £120,000.
Gary ComerfordHOST
8:47
Now, that might sound like a lot, but a DAF electric truck, similar to the one in which Liam and I travelled from Welsh Group in Duxford recently, can cost £270,000.
Gary ComerfordHOST
8:58
So there's still quite an outlay there.
Gary ComerfordHOST
9:01
For smaller vehicles, there's the LCV grant, known as the Low Emission Van Grant.
OllieHOST
21:43
And obviously I have this guy to pay for my fuel expenses of picking him up to take him to the air shows, so that's also completely fine.
OllieHOST
21:49
So yeah, um, I'm hoping to go to Dux- no, not Duxford, sorry, Shuttleworth Summer Air Show with Joey.
OllieHOST
21:56
That's one that I'm looking forward to 'cause it's got like an, an American theme, and I'm really hoping to see some really cool American aircraft.
OllieHOST
22:01
Obviously there's gonna be a lot of P-51s, a P-47, uh, Nellie B and stuff.

23 MINS LATER

JoeyHOST
45:26
Yeah.
OllieHOST
45:26
You probably have seen them before, I'm telling you.
OllieHOST
45:27
There's no way you've not been to an air show and never seen a single one or, like, Duxford or somewhere, I don't know.
OllieHOST
45:33
But you've definitely seen, seen them before.
DanHOST
14:56
I forgot what show it was, but in Belgium somewhere.
DanHOST
14:58
Um, and then it had planned to display at Duxford's Battle of Britain show on the Sunday, but it never made it.
ChloeHOST
15:06
Yeah.
DanHOST
15:06
I think that might have actually been to a technical fault.

5 MINS LATER

DanHOST
20:16
Um, and I guess that will take us, you know, take us onto the positive of, of the airshow scene.
DanHOST
20:21
And the final airshow of this year was Shuttleworth's Race Day.
DanHOST
20:25
It happened on the same weekend as Duxford's Fina- Flying Finale, I think they called it.
ChloeHOST
20:30
Yeah.
PaxtonHOST
64:52
There is on that B-52.
PaxtonHOST
64:55
It has got it from fucking Duxford.
PaxtonHOST
64:57
Hold on.
PaxtonHOST
64:57
Did you see a plane just flying like that? That's how it
ShaneHOST
10:48
And he saw it and he was like, "Oh, Daddy, that looks really cool.
ShaneHOST
10:51
I would really like a Hurricane." And I think he felt inspired from the day before, because we were actually at the Battle of Britain Air Show at Duxford the day before we went to the Tank Museum, so it was a very fun-filled weekend, and he managed to find the last one on the shelf, so he got that.
ShaneHOST
11:06
And Jacob picked up a World War II Puma, which I think he's been, he's been a fan of 'cause it's in games like War Thunder and World of Tanks and all that sort of stuff.
ShaneHOST
11:17
So he's, he's started building that.
DanHOST
13:59
Yeah, we're still at, we're still at board meeting level with that one.
BrownieHOST
14:02
Fair enough.
DanHOST
14:04
I also went to the Battle of Britain show at Duxford both days.
DanHOST
14:09
Sunday was a bit of a washout in the morning, which meant that we had the world and his wife come in and walk past the models 'cause it was raining outside, which was-
