TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship

with the promotion

well as we reported last week shana baszler and i forget her tna name but zoe stark they recently captured the tna knockouts tag team titles i definitely think this is a win for tna shana haters are out there but like we said with the young bucks and the new level i think everyone collectively at the bare minimum respects shana baszler and and zoe serrano and like she was so good in wwe zoe serrano wasn't the best on the main roster but her nxt stuff was awesome one of the best um pure pure fighters that that we've seen in a while low-key she's better than ronda rousey i'm just saying

what if ronda rousey was listening to our podcast

number one ronda no no disrespect i respect you there's no hate here but i'm just a really big fan of shana

wrestling news and

And I just wanted to give a shout out to Shayna Baszler, who is one half of the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions, alongside Zoe Serrano, who was formerly known as Zoe Stark in WWE, and Chauncey Blackheart.

They are the two newest signees to TNA in the Knockouts division.

And I feel like this fits them to a T. I am so happy to see that they have found a home in TNA.

And it was very sentimental and sweet because... during that time it was a pandemic times were tough wrestling was the one of the great escapes at that time and this storyline was definitely one of the best um escapes at that time dramatically as well so And seeing Sami being invited as a part of the fold, even though, of course, he's not a part of the family blood-wise, was very heartwarming and sweet until it wasn't.

So to see them sharing a ring with both of them as champions now is absolutely incredible and really nuts when you think about it.

Because at one point, even after he left the bloodline, he fought Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Championship and in his home country, no less, and still lost.

So to fast forward to now with Sammy finally having that title that Roman once had, and now Roman has the World Heavyweight title, it's just a very big full circle moment in their storytelling.

And shout out to... you know, Big Nick and Ringsider Anthony that do the watch-alongs over on the Wrestling for Life Network, and shout out to Ringsider Anthony again, who was at Bound for Glory, and who I hope to get back on here with myself and Jake to do a preview for Destination X.

Now, on the topic of Destination X, we got a bunch of announcements for that show by Santino, who was just, you know, off of his, like, weird suspension thing, and Daria was off of her suspension thing, because the power structure is TNA is questionable at best but before he was interrupted by Daria he did give us a bunch of really wicked announcements no no participants per se but we're bringing back a lot of old favorites for Destination X now we already know that the World Heavyweight Championship matches between Leon Slater and Trey Miguel which even though it's for the World Heavyweight Championship it's still going to be be very X Division coded.

You guys know how I feel about both of these guys.

I've said it I feel like numerous times now.

But yeah, those four guys are driving the company forward on the men's side.

But that is a very X Division thing.

match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Very, very happy for Leon Slater.

Now, as we know, Kira Hogan was the knockouts champion tag team champion with Ali.

They lost the knockouts tag team championships to Shayna Baszler and Zoe Serrano at Bound for Glory.

This past week, it was Ali and Kira Hogan in the ring.

Kira Hogan wanting that rematch for the tag team gold.

And there you go.

There's fire and flavor.

A tag team for that knockouts tag team division, by the way, could well be being paired up against Shotzi and Ali.

But Shotzi knew into TNA or returned to TNA.

On today's episode, we got two great interviews from the Busted Open Nation.

First, Nick Nemeth and I speak to one half of your TNA Knockout Tag Team Champions.

That's right.

Zoe Serrano joins us here on the Busted Open podcast.

Well, we have an extremely special Wrestling Life today, a truly beautiful Wrestling Life Hall of Fame introduction as we celebrate the career of one of the most successful and influential performers in women's wrestling history.

A six-time TNA Knockouts Champion, former Knockouts Tag Team Champion, and ROH Women of Honor World Champion, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky helped turn the Beautiful People into one of the most memorable acts of the modern era.

And in 2025, the group's legacy was officially recognized when the Beautiful People were inducted into TNA Hall of Fame.

Today, Angelina Love receives another honor with an induction into Wrestling Life Hall of Fame.

Mm-hmm.

Don't say your World Championship is the most important championship and make it the first on the card.

Explain.

Explain.

Mm

... you know, even for Amazing Red.

Inducted in the Hall of Fame and won the X Division Championship that same time.

[laughs] I'm like, "What the hell just went on?"

Now we come to a six knockout tag match.

Zaya Brookside, the former Knockouts Champion with the new Knockouts Tag Team Champion, Zoe Serrano and Shayna Baszler.

It's Indie Hartwell, Gabby Forza, and Harley Hudson.

Tell you, tell you what I liked about this.
