Immortal Records

episode.

Yeah, Immortal Records.

Yeah,

that's them,

yeah.

With Korns, it was them and Epic together, I think.

Yeah, Immortal Records.

Yeah, three-song demo, and that's Lancia Record Deal.

It was over 20 years ago that a band called Scary Kids Scaring Kids emerged from the Arizona scene with music that hit hard and resonated with kids that enjoyed the screamo sound.

They released a couple of albums on Immortal Records.

They were garnering attention and accolades.

They signed a deal with major label Sony.

But, so that first After Dark EP is recorded on tape, uh, and that was, that was written and, written and recorded in high school with him.

Now, I think I read that before signing, I mean, even then you were on the verge of breakup.

I mean, how, how did the signing to the label and then th- this whole, you know, figuring out whether you guys even wanted to, how did those two converge kinda leading to the band staying together, signing the deal with Immortal Records?

Yeah.

I, I attended concerts.

I was a street teamer for Victory Records, Immortal Records, and so-

Okay, okay.

Yeah, Victory.

It's because that was such an awesome thing to me, you know, getting a whole bunch of bands and different sounds and genres on one...

Well, not genre, but I mean, different sounds, you know, on one album.

I promoted that album called Straight Up, uh, from Immortal Records, which was a tribute to the singer of Snot, right? He, when he died.

Um, and again, that concept of like...

Uh, this is Justine Ferrera.

She's actually the niece of an Immortal Records, uh, that's what this album came out on, rep.

And then also, the shadow right here, this claw hand, that is one Dante Arreola wearing a claw glove.

Oh my God.
