Immolation

And that's one of the primary death metal influences in the Orthodox sound.

Um, So it's possible that Mayhem and Immolation were both reference points for the melodic sensibility here.

But when I listen to it now, that big unwinding melody, I think, oh, that's like Aesoth or Sparta Daudi or DSO or something.

So it is crazy how ahead of its time Wormflim is as a black metal band.

Hopefully I pronounced that right.

Who's worked with Autry Billis, who's worked with Immolation, Testament, and Hate Eternal.

But so far, this thing fucking rips.

Perpetual Terminal was really good, but really melodic, had a little bit more nuance to it, even had an acoustic track on it, a little bit more clean singing going on from John.

But one thing I noticed was, like, I would book a show.

One time I booked a show, it was Hatebreed, Immolation, Candiria.

I think Mortician might have even played.

That's hard.
