Illinois River

Tenkiller's the clear one.

Of the three lakes in this story, it's the one people drive across the state to swim in because the Illinois River comes down out of the Ozark Hills carrying clean water over limestone.

That night, the cove was full of boats, and the adults were on the top decks with the fireworks going off over the water, and the kids had been jumping off the swim platform since dark.
