This is, of course, about the With just over 40 days until Election Day for the midterms, the Illinois Republican Party has yet to provide a meaningful financial boost to the man carrying its banner for governor, Darren Bailey, whom President Trump reaffirmed his support for this week.

Uh-huh.

So Trump says, yeah, I've endorsed Bailey.

And he asked for $150,000 from the ILGOP.

It is not the ILGOP.

It's the Illinois Republican Party's responsibility to fund directly campaigns.

That is not their responsibility.

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker joined Democrats in Texas to share their own message to voters.

Nothing Republicans say over the next two days is going to change how clinically deranged and out of touch the GOP has become.

Alderman Matt O'Shea says he's ready to pass the torch.

Tell us, why were Illinois Republicans in the Lone Star State?

Yeah, the Republican Party and President Donald Trump especially held this sort of unprecedented midterm convention in Texas this week where they rallied around the president for two nights in a row, not just one as you might see in a typical convention.

But if we're talking about the state party, our state party is much the same as many other state parties that have failed to kind of show up in the most important moments.

So I would definitely have to say the Illinois GOP is they have not stepped up to the plate uh to be much of an assist at all um so that's why it's really important to donate directly to candidates um if you you know if you've been sending money to the illinois gop please know that it did not go to a single candidate if that i'm aware of so it did not go to any voter outreach that i'm aware of um and those are things that we have to really be mindful of is that every dollar invested in illinois needs to go to voter voter growth voter development and it needs to go to candidate support that's what's most important

You know, you're really doing a heck of a job reaching the grassroots, in my opinion.
