Illinois Fighting Illini

The fighting.

Fighting Illini.

So, hold on.

I've got to wait for this graphic to pop up.

Okay, there it goes.

The Illinois fighting Illini.

Their current record is 4-3.

They are 2-2 in the Big Ten.

I'm looking at you, KB.

Then they host Iowa, at Ohio State, at Minnesota, and then they host Illinois.

Right now, 6-1.

Here's my question.

Jake Davis for three, no good, but Ivasich.

Illini retain possession.

Williams from the corner gets it to go.

Another three from Illinois.

Illini looking to set things up.

Coleman sizes up.

Garrett puts up a three, gets it to go.

Hey, man, good job last night.

So just before you start counting and, you know, disseminating Caleb Williams' money, let's just take a look at what we got here.

And speaking of what we got here, the great Howard Griffith from the Big Ten Network, fighting Illini legend.

Howard, before we get into some of these big – because I really want to talk to you about the cradle of coaches that is now known as the Big Ten because last time we talked, you know, it was a lot of people who didn't have L's next to their name that was talking crazy who have gotten very, very quiet.

I'm looking at you, Eugene, Oregon.

I was keeping it above board.

Howard, I appreciate you so much, man.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Super Bowl champion, Illini legend, Denver Bronco, just great.

Paved the way for Terrell Davis for a lot of that career.

Northwestern still has to play Iowa.

They still got to go to Ohio State before they wrap up with Minnesota and Illinois.

That's not the team, though.

The team for me that I think also adds another layer of, okay, Nebraska, you got to show out.

You set a tone on Saturday.

I still think I know you've really been on this kick with the Illinois game.

But if you set the tone on Saturday out of the bye week, I think you get the juices flowing with this fan base again.

And then if you're able to have that quick turnaround and also I don't care if you win by half a point.

Yeah.

And I mean, it's winnable football games because we talked about the start of season.

Everybody's like, Hey, Illinois might be DC.

You know, everybody's thinking Washington's eight, four, nine, and three football team.

We will start here, leaving one of these early games for later in the pod.

The four and three, Illinois fighting Illini.

Going into the show, take on the two and five Maryland Terrapins.

This is an 11 o'clock a.m. game on FS1.

Another ranked team going down.

Then you had Illinois beating Oregon.

That was another ranked loss.

Then you had Minnesota beating 15th ranked Iowa.
