so he told a couple of those like i gotta kill time because they gotta fix the bass player shit here because because the next song required bass then even they started the song he's like no bass isn't loud enough he stopped them all you gotta crank the fucking bass and then they got the bass going and man i i didn't catch the name of who they got drumming for them right now but this kid is fucking good like he was on fire all night i think kevin who went to the same show was like texting me like holy shit they're drummer i'm like i know this kid is fucking great and And then the last three song stretch they did, Kevin texted me and said, if I were Dave Grohl, I'd tell him not to end shows like that because they're very much in danger of blowing Foo Fighters off the stage.

It was that good.

So Queens of the Stone Age, big thumbs up.

That's my one nitpick of the show.

They really fucking dragged out Run for no reason.

But one of the reasons they did was we got another extended drum solo from Elon Rubin, who's the new drummer for Foo Foo Fighters.

His exact words were, to me, it represents the beginning of this band.

Inevitably, he goes on to deliver an absolutely huge endorsement of Ilan Rubin, who's been with the band nearly a year now, scarily enough.

As we've seen on the tour, of course, during the band introductions, each member brings something from their musical past to the show, which is how we've ended up hearing everything from Sunny Day Real Estate to the Germs to the Wallflowers.

Ilan's contribution, as we know, is slightly different.
