Ik Onkar

you translate Ikonkada as oneness resonates infinitely and from all of the different translations I read over the years I think this is one of the closest English translations where I've gone yeah I get this rather than going hmm maybe I can maybe there's more to this or whatever why did you decide to use those three words in particular and not say for argument's sake one god or one creator and i guess i kind of can guess your answer to this but walk me through that choice and why is it so important to foreground this whole thing in a non-dual philosophy

so Most of the times the translations are simplified as ik onkar, there is one onkar, one God.

So the ik is simply just a counting mechanism for how many onkars we're talking about.

We're talking about not two onkars, not two gods, there is one God.
