The Ijazah system is basically the same thing.

You're not supposed to be teaching about a subject matter unless you have the qualifications.

Well, what are those qualifications and who determines that? Who's telling you that you went to one of the most reputable institutions in the Muslim world? and they have a standard that they uphold.

Ijazah in what, Shaykh?

So they call it ijazah aamma.

So all the sciences that I studied under these mashayikh, they gave me the ijazah to teach and also the ijazah to give ijazah to others who teach under me.

For أَنْبَأْنَا, that's the third one.

أَنْبَأْنَا is... basically the most general of them all, and it can be used for reading, it can be used for listening, it can also be used according to the Mutakhirun, it can be used for Ijazah.

So an Ijazah does not necessarily require a person to actually hear every single hadith from the book.

to attain that ijazah, technically speaking.

A sheikh can give an ijazah to transmit a book to a student, even though they didn't read the book with the sheikh, or they might have read partial parts of it.
