IHE Delft Institute for Water Education

That is agriculture, climate, we are talking of even health in general.

This brought in a lot of interest from stakeholders, especially IHE Delft.

Sorry, what's IHE Delft?

IH Edelft is a school in Netherlands that basically has a niche in training water experts across the globe.

And so they were able to get funding that helped them start InfoNile.

And to explore these questions, we're joined by two fantastic experts.

Suzanne Schmeier, Professor of Water Cooperation, Law and Diplomacy at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education and Utrecht University.

Her research, teaching, and advisory activities focus on legal and institutional dimensions of water resource governance at subnational and transboundary levels, the role of agreements and basin organizations, negotiation and conflict resolution processes and tools, and the sustainable management of ecosystems linked to water resources.

Prior to joining IHE Delft, Suzanne worked for GIZ, the Mekong River Commission, and the World Bank in fields of water and environmental cooperation.

Our second guest for this episode is David Mikkel.

David Mikkel is a senior associate with the Global Food and Water Security Programme, at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, where his work explores growing pressures on the world's interdependent water, food, energy, and climate systems.
