Igloo

There's the promotion discovery, the idea, and you and I talked briefly about critical thinking.

If I put myself in this user's shoes, what would be unique for me? Igloo is a classic case.

You don't have an igloo in Manhattan.

Maybe if you're staying in the Arctic Circle, Igloo is a good facet to have.

And so you've got to think of these relevant facets that you can surface from a differentiation standpoint that have zero search volume, that probably have zero search intent, these zero kind of click keywords that actually people end up searching for or you end up getting mapped to because it is unique and maybe one in a thousand people or one in a million people search for it, but you are the only person that shows up.

So yes, but you've got to just create a page that has value.

So if you create an Igloo page for Airbnb, it lists out all the Igloo Airbnbs in that Arctic Circle or wherever it might be.

But you're actually creating value on that page.

I think most of us don't know that much about it.

We imagine Eskimos and Igloos, and that's maybe the extent of our knowledge.

So how many groups are there? How many languages? Which are the more prominent ones? And do they tend to want to be left alone? Or are they integrating with their countries that have taken the territory?

Yeah, it's a really important question because, yeah, we have to acknowledge that the Arctic is not just a battlefield or an oil and gas field, but it's a homeland for 500,000 indigenous peoples out of the wider population living north of the Arctic Circle of 4 million people.

It flew like feathers about the igloo.

Okay? So first off, what's the difference between a quinzee and an igloo? Biggest one probably the spelling.

So igloo, I-G-L-O-O, and a quinzee is spelled Q-U-I-N-Z-H-E-E.

Mm-hmm.

So that's probably the first surprising thing to some people.
