World Climbing Series

I think there's no perfect way to like score a round of bouldering in my opinion.

And so- I guess I've just been trying to understand like more about what the, what the long-term goal is with like these adjustments in the world climbing series, you know, um, scoring.

Sure.

I can tell you with pretty good certainty that the one change that they did make, which was going from, you know, top and zone to points, that's just like, that's a scoring output thing that makes it easier for people to understand, you know, if we're looking at like bringing climbing more into the mainstream and, you know, like my mom watches world cups sometimes she's like almost 80 years old.

But do you guys in your heart of hearts feel like climbing competitions should showcase that? who the best climber is, quote unquote, whatever that means to you? Or are they more of a show? Just like, what do you guys want it to be? Not necessarily what you think

it is.

Josh, I wanted to add a little bit more to that and kind of back to the point I was trying to make earlier is do you guys feel like, you know, the world climbing series, like it's fine to argue the nuances of like formats and, and you know, the point systems and things like that.

And everyone's always going to have a different perspective about what's best on that end.
