Idora Park

... don't get used a whole lot, um, by most of the public except for a goofy trail runners.

Uh, so back in the early 1900s, there was a, an amusement park called Idora Park, and they also had a zoo at Idora Park.

And one day, somehow the monkeys all got out of their cages at Idora Park, and they all congregated up on these hills in Mill Creek Park.

And, um, yeah, there, there was actually a, an, an article in, in the newspaper at the time where they encouraged people to come out and hunt the monkeys and, uh-

[laughs]

Yeah.

So now-

... es- es- Idora Park Zoo.

They're a series of basically three hills that don't get used a whole lot by most of the public except for goofy trail runners.

Park.

You're playing five, six nights a week.

You're playing at Idora Park, and there's thousands of kids coming out.

What was it like for you guys when you started out in your early days just being a band? Were you playing at the apartment once a week? Even before

that, with Patsy and I, being teenagers in the band stuff... you sort of developed your craft.
