You trust someone because they seem credible, like JFK declaring Ich bin ein Berliner.

Logos is the appeal to reason, to cold hard facts.

But facts alone are never enough, because people are emotional creatures.

It's going to be the West Berlin Town Hall where John F. Kennedy held his famous speech Ich bin ein Berliner.

I want to talk about why it is the best speech ever and how you can create the best speeches of your life with just a simple set of ingredients that I will share with you.

This is what John F. Kennedy said standing on this very balcony in 1963.

Number four, though, JFK, when he was over there, he said, "Ich bin ein Berliner," attempting to say he was a person from Berlin.

Today, in the world of freedom, the proudest boast is Ich bin ein Berliner.

By the end of 1963, President Kennedy was the most idolized figure in America and the rest of the Western world.

He had won the war of words against the Soviet Union's leader, Nikita Khrushchev, and was looking to push America into a more peaceful stage of the Cold War, all thanks to his incredible stage presence and charisma.

Well, Hitler was there by that time, and I didn't want to go back.
